Utilizing the Foundation, individuals, organizations, groups, businesses, and other foundations may fund a variety of programs which benefit students, staff and patrons. The Foundation seeks to enhance educational opportunities and excellence in the schools through development of incentives, awards, grants, and scholarships.
Individuals or organizations can assist the Foundation through a number of funding options. The Excelsior Springs Educational Foundation is a 501( c) ( 3 ) non-profit, charitable organization. Contributions to the Foundation may be tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors composed of 5-15 members of the community, a Board of Education representative, the Deputy Superintendent, and the Superintendent of Schools. The Foundation Board is separate and distinct from the Excelsior Springs School District’s Board of Education.
